Second Chance Month 10K Steps Challenge

We are starting Second Chance Month off right with 10 teams from all over the country already signed up to take the Performance-based Standards (PbS) 10K Steps for Real Second Chances Challenge!

So far, we have teams from Alabama, California, Arizona, Oregon, Maine, Kansas, Alaska, and Oklahoma ready to take steps toward achieving education and employment equity. Every step taken helps raise awareness of the challenges young people who’ve been incarcerated face when they leave and the need for support like the PbS’ Education and Employment Foundation scholarship, reentry assistance, and employment matching awards.

Join us! Walk, hop, skip, or run alongside us at any time during Second Chance Month. Don’t feel like walking? Sponsor a team or donate. Want to have a little fun? Post on the 10K Steps Challenge Facebook page to stay engaged and share your team’s journey.

Meredith is PbS’ Spring 2023 College for Social Innovation Fundraising Fellow who was charged with the task of creating, designing, and helping to direct the national 10K Steps for Real Second Chances fundraiser for PbS’ Education and Employment Foundation.
