National Leadership Cohort Graduation

The first-ever Center for Improving Youth Justice (CIYJ) Performance-based Standards (PbS) National Leadership Cohort graduated as part of our Awards Night Gala on Aug. 19. The cohort is a six-month program designed to invest in the supervisors, unit managers, and rising leaders who shape safety, culture, and youth outcomes every day.

This inaugural cohort brought together participants from 7 states across the country – Alabama, Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Rhode Island. Cohort members received expert coaching and individualized, one-on-one mentoring to strengthen their leadership skills, and deepened their ability to use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

We are deeply grateful to the agencies that committed to this experience and chose to invest in their emerging leaders. Their partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the field from within. We look forward to building and expanding this opportunity in the future. Stay tuned for further opportunities to participate, as this investment in leadership will continue to benefit the field for years to come.
