National Leadership Cohort

Join a National Leadership

The Performance-Based Standards National Leadership Cohort, launched this month by the Center for Improving Youth Justice (CIYJ), is a six‑month program designed to strengthen the emerging leaders closest to young people, staff, and daily operations.

Strengthen the Leaders Who Shape Safety, Culture, and Youth Outcomes Every Day

This cohort invests in supervisiors, unit managers, program leads, and rising staff. The people closest to youth, closest to staff, and closest to culture. These leaders stabilize teams, reduce preventable incidents, improve your program outcomes, and create safe, humane environments.
What participants recieve?
Monthly National Community of Practice with data driven learning, operational problem-solving, culture and safety alignment, shared challenges across states and turning data into action.
Why systems are joining?
This program strengthens operational consistency, youth safety, staff retention, leadership readiness, program performance, communication, and culture. Emerging leaders carry the most responsibility and receive the least training.
A high return investment
Systems recover tuition quickly through reduced turnover, fewer preventable incidents, stronger consistency, improved program outcomes, workforce stability, and a long-term leadership pipeline.
